Whenever anyone gets hit with a chair or other object why do?? see details?

Why do the commentators always say something like "Oh my god did you hear that steel chair shot to the head!!' When the wrestler that has been hit ALWAYS puts their hand up to block the hit?? It is obvious in every shot and very rare that anyone actually gets hit in the head. Also why do the crowd react to a head shot? surely they can see it is blocked EVERY time!! Oh no someone has been hit by a chair in the hand and they get knocked out lol so lame!

OK, first thing is first. Wrestling is not FAKE! Go to the high-schools, college, or the Olympics. What you see on TV with the WWE, TNA, or Wrestling Society X is called Sports Entertainment. That means that there are going to be some scripted things to keep the fans interested. Most wrestler on TV will put there hands up to help absorb the blow. You get hit in the head with anything and you are still going to feel it. And with someone swinging something hard at your head, it could still cause a concussion. The acting come in with the superstar pretending to be dazed true, but to make something look an ounce of truth, wouldn't you be? he announcers are there to add to the drama, and usually a crowd will respond that way because it is a natural reaction when someone gets hit hard in general. I enjoy watching these shows and been to a few WWE events. I have seen mess ups before and it is not pretty!

They don't ALWAYS block it with their hands. If you've ever watched the ORIGINAL ECW, you'd see many chair shots taken directly to the head. The recipient of the chair shot takes it on the top of the head, which is the hardest part of the head. That makes for a nice dent in the "steel" chair and a nice loud bang.

Then why are you in the wrestling section ? Please if you don't like it then don't watch it. Nobody wants to hear you complain on here. Their not blocking the shot, you could obviously see it if you were paying any attention that they do get hit in the head. The crowd screams because I'm sure if you got hit in the head with a steal chair...it just might hurt.

Besides, constantly hitting your wrestlers on the head and even knocking them out for real, isn't going to be very good for business after a while........

when the wrestlers get hit witha chair or something else, i'd say they block it 50% of the time, but it still sounds and looks cool,

as for the commontators, i guess it's just there job to exaggerate the show a bit (and the fans job as well)

thats like asking why we like wrestling in general even though its staged. It's electrifying, whether it is in the head or in the arms, it just makes you excited and pumps you up. you see someone get hit with a chair, no matter where it is on the body, you just wanna go "hell yea"



and it hurts even if it just hits you in the arm.

they don't actually want to hurt their competitors so they try and make it look as real as possible
