Why does it matter if Rey Mysterio is unmasked when he was already unmasked 12 years ago?

Rey Mysterio was unmasked in WCW back in 1999. He wrestled without a mask from 1999 until 2001. After WCW was purchased by McMahon, once Rey debuted in WWE he started wrestling with the mask again.

Why does it matter if he gets unmasked again when it already happened?

Because alot of people on here wasn't even watching wrestling during the time of wcw, and probally even thinks his career started in wwe. Proof of that statement they talk about how horrible wcw was, when in reality wcw was a great company sure it had its problems and they made a few mistakes but still wcw was a great wrestling company and if it wasn't for them then Vince Mcmahon would have never stepped up his game meaning there would be no Stone Cold no Rock and no D-Generation X because they were made to beat wcw in the ratings war. The fact is since they weren't watching at the time then they believe anything Vince Mcmahon tells them if he said WCW was no competition or if they say Rey Mysterio was never unmasked then most will believe because they weren't around to see the truth.

i agree with you really, hes even done an unmasked interview lol. My assumption is that some wwe viewers take the entertainment too literal and have short attention spans, and have probably forgotten about this. Also, most rey mysterio lovers tend to be young, so they may have not witnessed this already.

Well it matters because this time Ray has a word in it.. Last time Eric Bischoff demanded that Ray took off his mask after losing..



Besides it matters because if it happens Ray would be over, he would be just another wrestler



Is like Kaval we all know he had potential but to WWE he was just another wrestler and that's why he was let go.



Also that mask is very important to Ray

in my opinion, cody rhodes did this because he is taking away something that he believes is very important to rey, as in, keeping his faced hidden/masked. id say its revenge as rey kinda ruined what is most important to to cody, his face and because of this cody has had to cover his face and when it is on show wants to hide it away from his fans. i guess its cody's own way of gettin rey back.
