Most people seem to be pretty split on this. Some people think that he plays his dark psychotic role perfectly, whilst other think that he is slow, unimaginative & boring. So what side of the fence are you on?
BQ: Do you think Orton's Mic Skills will Improve or Decline as a Face/Tweener?

They're not good.
I don't think that they're awful, but there is nothing special or memorable there. Orton is not one of the guys who can get a feud going with the way he speaks (unlike guys like Triple H and John Cena). He's passable, but and from time to time he comes up with some half decent stuff on the mic, but 95 percent of the time it's all about how "he's going to kick you in the skull and end. your. career.", followed up with him flexing his neck muscles and foaming at the mouth a little bit.
I find that the bulk of his promos and segments just have no effect. They ARE very similar to each other, he's wooden on the mic and I find him very robotic and bland. There is often zero believable emotion to Orton's promos, and he just seems SO manufactured. I mean, the best guys in the business are able to create characters that seem real, that allow the audience to suspend their disbelief and follow them. Triple H and Cena do that very well. So does Shawn Michaels. Randy Orton does not. Now, this isn't all his fault. The way the WWE has booked his character, almost from start to finish, has been so ludicrous and farcical that there is almost no way the audience can take him seriously. The fact that Orton has virtually no range or scope to his mic work only hinders him more.

I actually think he plays his role perfectly, I think his mic skills are pretty good. I would even say that lately his mic skills are better than Jericho's, in the fact that Jericho messes up his words now because of his vast vocabulary now. Orton gets his message across even if it is slow I pay attention to what he is saying.
BQ: I think his mic skills will improve as a Face/Tweener because he is talking a lot less (as some people say) "boring and slow" he will also improve in his in ring ability opening up his moveset so his overall character will be improved.

I look for their Ring skills. Ring skills are what really matter. Having skills on the mic is a great add on but it is not what really matters. Most of the wrestlers that are legends where never that great on the mic, but great in the ring. An example being The Undertaker. BQ - Most would say The Rock, but he has the Ring Skills to back it up. I would have to say The Miz. The Miz is all talk on the mic, but when it comes to the ring he is actually not that great at all. In fact, he kinda sucks in the ring. BQ2 - The most underrated tag team would be RVD and Kane. They were a great tag team and dominated, yet nobody remembers them. They are one of my favorite tag teams of all time definitely. BQ3 - Well I am sticking with Y2J until I am proved wrong. I do see what you are saying though. Notice hardly anyone has mentioned my other guess, Shane McMahon. I say it could be Shane because it says he will take back what is rightfully his. This would be the business of the WWE. And also it says when "she" arrives it is a sign of my return. That would be Stephanie.

I'm definitely on the "he is slow, unimaginative & boring" side of the fence. I dont think its to hard to see honestly. He was in almost every main event last year and didnt really manage to have a 3.5-4 star match once. Why? Because he isn't that great a wrestler. His is monotone on the mic.
BQ: I think his mic skills shouldn't change. He got popular for what he is doing now, if he becomes a corny face i think his popularity will decrease.

I know that Randy Orton signed a new contract with WWE about a month ago for 20 years, and something like a down payment of $600,000 to perform this year at Wrestlemania, so looks like we'll have to deal with Orton for a while :P

decent a best, he wasnt ever great but he was ok and always did his purpose as a heel or face.
i also think orton has become more boring than he used to be when he was in evolution being triple h's stooge.
ba: i dont think the guy will be the most amazing guy on the mic but he will always be decent.

I think his mic skills haven't really improved lately, but they're not bad, they're just not the best.
BQ: I reckon his mic skills will probably improve as a face.

When he was The Legend Killer, he did a great job! But now he talk less and i think that his mics skill now lacks compared to the past.

He's very inconsistent. Sometimes he hits it perfectly. Other times he can put me to sleep. So on average he's somewhere in between...
