In the WWE Shawn Michaels is known as the Icon and Sting became an Icon in WCW and known as well in TNA, and Sting even interviewed Shawn Michaels on the channel TBN.

I know both are icons in wrestling and both are legends, there's no doubt about that but it'z a damn shame that fans will never see them get in the ring with each other.

In my opinion, Shawn. Sting is without a doubt the biggest legend never to have competed for WWE, but Shawn Michaels has given so many more memorable moments. Sting was hugely popular in WCW, but never really transcended the business like Flair, Hogan, HBK, Austin, Rock, Undertaker, HHH would. It would've been a hell of a match in their prime, but sadly that's long gone. It may be because WWE bought out WCW and don't mention the history of WCW, but Shawn has always seemed to me to be a legend that had amazing charisma, could put on a show like no-one else and would always make his opponent look good. Sting, hiowever talented, could'nt do any of these, quite like HBK could.

Having watched them both since the beginning of their careers I would have to call it a dead even draw. Personally I think HBK is the better performer overall as he has successfully changed characters more and shown to be more diverse. However, I would have to say that Sting has more integrity in the business and hasn't bowed to the controling powers of the industry, and he can still walk into a room with his head up. Very few wrestlers can say that, especially after WCW went under and the WWE took in a bunch of WCW wrestlers and pretty much made them into jokes and cartoon characters of what they were in WCW (Ric Flair, Steiners, etc). But they are both icons in wrestling and both deserve to be recognized as performers that defined wrestling as we know it today.

they're the two icons yet of distinctive producers. definite, An Icon is the illustration of the final of a definite team. IE HBK is "the icon" or WWE as he's definitely one of WWE terrific performers and wrestler. He became the main journey. The Showstopper. You get the belief. Sting, himself, is an icon for his stint in NWA and WCW. perhaps no longer that a lot in NWA, yet honestly WCW. And he's fairly a lot a similar such as HBK in WWE yet in WCW. super wrestler, super performer. and so on. the only variations on the time became HBK's became an @ss and greater boastful. LOL. None the fewer, if I had to make the alternative between the two, regrettably, i could %. Sting. i'm a huge time HBK fan, and HBK has stolen the practice greater then one occasion (attempt a lot) yet Sting's resume and history extremely backs him up. He has wrestled in greater producers. He has wrestled longer. 26 years. He has in all danger initiate greater traits together with his gimmick, face paint, baseball bats, undesirable@ss entrances, you call it. Plus in case you seem that their history, HBK is often held back by using kliq, dx, and him, being an @sshole., yet Sting,..... Its all him. he's extremely "the guy." no longer something has relatively held him back, and him refusing to connect WWE in basic terms bolstered his legacy. to no longer point out greater international titles. extremely, the only one united statesthat HBK has on Sting are tournament of the years and air of secrecy (sting isn't far off) yet by using fact of that, I leaning in direction of Sting being the genuine Icon, between the two adult men.

That would be my dream match. They are the two biggest legends in wrestling to have never even wrestled for the same company, let alone each other.

Sting hands down.

I'm actually glad Sting never went to the WWE because I think Vince would have ruined him.
