Did the cops think that DX was apart of WCW when DX "invaded" in 1998?

I was watching footage from that time DX invaded WCW in 98 and they had cops or security with them?

Because DX had had trouble with law enforcement in the past, they did let the police in on what they were going to do in their "invasion" of WCW. They were driving a jeep with a cannon on it!



I read that in an interview with Triple H and HBK (about cluing the cops in beforehand). Hmm, maybe it was in their "History Of DX" book that I read that? In any case, yes, Triple H did explain that the police were informed beforehand.



Some of the cops were wrestling fans and knew DX was in the WWF, not WCW, and that this would be an angle for TV.
