I can give you alot of info
The History: Everyone knows most, or part of the story by now, the WCW years with Brian Pillman, the 'stunning' Steve Austin we all knew was considered a bright talent with promise, but was stuck at mid-card level, with TV title reigns, and promises of World title shots.
Then came the injury, and the infamous phone call firing from Bischoff's secretary. The injury healed, but the resentment didn't. Signed short term for ECW, won the world title briefly, and pulled off the legendary Monday Nyquill spoof.
Finally signed for WWF, and was given one of the lamest gimmicks in history, as Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Champ, The Ringmaster. The less said about that the better, the only memorable thing about that gimmick was DiBiase left the WWF when Austin lost to Savio Vega(!).
Quickly adopted the Stone Cold Steve Austin monicker, and started the road to fame & fortune. Won the 1996 King Of The Ring, and quoted the line that sold a million T-shirts :
"Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ***"
And so started the Austin 3:16 phenomenon. Won the intercontinental title on and off, feuding with Rocky Maivia & Owen Hart along the way.
The Owen Hart feud would prove to be costly, as during a match at Summerslam, Hart botched a piledriver, and dropped Austin on his head, causing temporary paralysis, and the injury would return to haunt him.
The injury would start off the whole Austin v McMahon feud. The then Commissioner Slaughter refused to let Austin wrestle with his injury, and stripped him of the tag titles he had won with Dude Love. Austin responded by giving a stunner to Jim Ross, and before long, every member of 'the backroom' staff had been on the receiving end, except McMahon.
That time would come, however, and when it did, the whole Austin era was kicked into high gear. McMahon made it his life's mission to deny Austin the championship, and became Vince McMahon, Evil Genius (tm) along the way. Austin responded with a variety of vehicles, stunts, and beatings, including my own personal fave, BANG 3:16...
Things came to a head at Wrestlemania 14, Austin v Michaels, with Mike Tyson as 'enforcer' at ringside. In what would prove to be Michaels last match, Austin pulled off the title victory, his first of 3 and fulfilled the 8 year quest.
For the next year and a half, Austin WAS wrestling. A stellar feud with The Rock set buyrates soaring, and mainstream interest flooding the WWF's way. Austin went on to become a TV regular on Nash Bridges.
In the meantime, the injury from 1996 was beginning to tell. Numbness in his arms, and pain was starting to become regular, so the decision to come off TV and get surgery was made at Survivor Series 1999, Austin's TV character was hit by a car, and wasn't seen until just before Backlash 2000.
Offscreen, his operation seems to be a success, and he's became engaged to Debra, of 'puppies' fame, and is fending off movie and TV offers galore. which brings us to:
The Future: What does the future hold for Steve Austin? WWF wise, the very mention of his name draws huge response from the crowd, so his position in the fans eyes is unchallenged.
Ring wise, The Rock is pretty much #1 babyface right now, and with Jericho emerging, and Undertaker & Kane's tweener status, in my opinion, Austin's future holds a heel turn. If he can get back fit for Wrestlemania 2001, at the Houston Astrodome, the money main event for me would be a face Rock v heel Austin for the title.
Offscreen, again, his future looks bright, with Nash Bridges producers seemingly offering him his own spin off series. Movie producers too are knocking down his door, trying to attach the Stone Cold name to their projects for a bit of rub.
Austin will be back in the ring at some point, whether it will be to the same heights as his run before, remains to be seen, but the one thing is for sure - when he comes back, it'll be big, and it'll make waves, and I for one can't wait.
As always, feel free to E-Mail me with any feedback you may have, and have fun, go mad...
EIGHT LONG F’N YEARS!
The Stone Cold Steve Austin story
In 1989, Steve Austin was living in Texas and earning a living by unloading trucks on the loading dock. His football scholarship at North Texas State University had run out, and working at the docks was his only way of making some cash.
During that time, he would go to the Sportatorium in Dallas to watch the Von Erichs wrestle. He was always a fan of the sport, watching Paul Boesch’s Houston Wrestling on television while growing up. One day after work, Steve saw an ad for a wrestling school run by Chris Adams. He decided to take a shot and five months later, in 1990, he had his first professional match for World Class Championship Wrestling. During his tenure in WCCW, Austin and Adams engaged in a bitter feud—with the student eventually toppling his teacher.
In 1991, "Stunning" Steve Austin was introduced to World Championship Wrestling and spent the next five years in the promotion. As a singles competitor, the Texan captured the organization’s TV Title in 1992 with a win over Barry Windham. One year later, he captured their U.S. Title on two occasions from Dustin Runnels and then Ricky Steamboat. But it was his pairing with the late Brian Pillman that earned Austin his greatest notoriety.
As the "Hollywood Blonds," Austin and Pillman became the most recognizable tandem in the promotion, eventually beating Steamboat and Shane Douglas for the tag team gold. After the Blonds broke up, the "powers that be" at WCW decided that Austin wouldn’t "get over" without a "gimmick." According to the front office, a wrestler in black boots and black trunks wasn’t marketable. During a tour of Japan, the Texan tore his tricep and subsequently underwent surgery to repair it. While in rehab, the WCW hierarchy decided to fire him. But, instead of bringing Steve in to the office and doing it face to face, they took the chicken @#$% way and fired him over the phone. According to Austin, WCW treated him like a "complete jackass," and he was hell-bent on making them pay!
After a brief run in ECW, Steve Austin signed a deal with the World Wrestling Federation in 1995. Instead of letting the superstar tear *** through the ranks, he was given the moniker of the "Ring Master" and issued a mouthpiece in the form of Ted DiBiase. However, that didn't last long and the Texan proudly walked on his own.
Steve Austin’s breakthrough came at the 1996 King of the Ring, where he suffered more than a dozen stitches from Marc Mero and still went on to beat Jake "The Snake" Roberts in the final!
During his coronation ceremony, the superstar took the opportunity to speak his mind—and the legacy of "Austin 3:16" was born! Within a year, Stone Cold became the biggest phenomenon in the history of the Federation, stomping the @#$% out of the "take your vitamins and say your prayers" theory of the past era. After a bitter feud with Bret Hart, which saw the two engage in a bloody war at WrestleMania 13, Austin went on to capture the Federation Tag Team Championship with Shawn Michaels in May of 1997. After the Heartbreak Kid was forced out of action due to injuries, Dude Love stepped in as Stone Cold’s partner, and together they reclaimed the title. That August at the ‘97 SummerSlam, Stone Cold nearly had his career ended by Owen Hart. The Texan’s neck was severely damaged by his foe’s piledriver, and he was paralyzed on the mat before miraculously rolling up Owen for the title! However, the superstar was put out of action with the injury and forced to vacate the gold.
Stone Cold’s return to the ring came at the 1997 Survivor Series, where he dismantled Owen to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship. After Federation owner Mr. McMahon stripped him of the title and awarded it to The Rock, Austin set his sights on the grandest prize in the sport—the Federation Title. His road to the championship began at the 1998 Royal Rumble, where he eliminated The Rock to earn his shot at the title at WrestleMania XIV.
That night in Boston’s FleetCenter with Mike Tyson serving as the special "Enforcer", the Rattlesnake beat Shawn Michaels—ushering in a new era of "Attitude" in the Federation! It took eight long f’in years for Stone Cold Steve Austin to make it to the top—and according to him "there ain’t no way in hell anyone--not even Vince McMahon, is going to keep me from getting it back!"

Stone Cold Steve Austin. The mere mention of his name will bring any sold-out crowd to its feet in a crazed frenzy.
Never before has the world of sports-entertainment seen a phenomenon like the one that Stone Cold Steve Austin has created.
At any live event you attend, all you see is a sea of Austin 3:16. Why? 'Cause Stone Cold said so!
When the Texas Rattlesnake entered the Mecca Arena in Milwaukee, for the 1996 King Of The Ring, he never could have imagined that before the evening was through, he would change the entire face of the wrestling world.
After beating the Bible-referencing Jake "The Snake" Roberts to become King Of The Ring, Austin accepted his crown, and upon doing so informed Roberts that "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ***!" With that simple phrase, Austin became the most popular superstar to ever compete in this sport.
Some peers say Stone Cold Steve Austin is a suicide machine with lack of regard for authority and rules. But you can't deny this superstar is tougher than leather when he steps through the ring ropes. Without a doubt, there are still plenty of unwritten chapters in the book of Austin 3:16!

His birth name was Stephen James Anderson; he took on the surname Williams when he was adopted by his stepfather (his biological father had left the family when he was a small child). Mini biography
Born in Austin, Texas in 1964. Worked in Texas on a loading dock until he became a pro wrestler in the late-80s. First became recognized in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as "Stunning" Steve Austin, where he conquered the singles ranks by becoming the WCW Television Champion on a few occasions and the WCW United States Title, he also conquered the WCW Tag-Team ranks along with the late Brian Pillman, collectively known as "The Hollywood Blondes" (Austin, at the time, had long blonde hair). Had a falling out with WCW head Eric Bischoff in Mid-1995 when Bischoff fired him over-the phone. Went to Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in late 1995 mostly as a commentator (He did wrestle a few matches, though.) Established himself as a no-nonsense, garbage-mouthed punk. Left ECW and emerged in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as "The Ringmaster", along with manager "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. That gimmick was weak and Austin was silenced by WWF Brass because of his reputation. Finally dumped DiBiase and changed his name to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, shaved his head, and had a gimmick as a Natural-Born Killer (He does strike a close resemblance to Woody Harrelson fron the movie). Started his trash-talking asd ***-kicking when he defeated Jake "The Snake" Roberts in the final round of the 1996 WWF King of The Ring Tournament, which was where he coined the famous "AUSTIN 3:16" while mocking Roberts for his religeous beliefs. Austin 3:16 was a phenomenon. He is the only person to do that other than the great Hulk Hogan who did it did in the 80's with the "Hulkamania" phenomenon. Austin 3:16 is about as bigas Hulkamania was in the 80's to the mid-90s. Austin conquered the WWF in 1997 when he captured the WWF Intercontinental Title on 2 occasions, the Tag-Team Titles on 2 occasions (with Shawn Michaels and "Dude Love" Mick Foley, respectively). And in 1998 when he achieved the ultimate career goal, the WWF World Title on 3 occasions and another Tag-Team Title reign with The Undertaker.

Mini biography
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was born in Victoria, Texas, as Steve Anderson (he later changed his name to Steve Williams), on December 18, 1964, as the youngest of five children. He played football at the North Texas State University. He was worthy of achieving a free education because of his football skills in school. Williams then began training at Chris Adams's wrestling school as a rookie near the end of 1988, and made his professional wrestling debut at the end of 1989. He then moved over to minor wrestling companies to wrestle for money, and later entered WCW under the name of 'Stunning Steve Austin'. He didn't make a large name for himself in the company, as he only held an embarrassing two TV titles.
Austin was fired by WCW and joined the WWF (now known as WWE) in December 1995. Austin left after a while to go to ECW but only stayed for a couple of weeks before he came back to the WWF as 'Stone Cold Steve Austin'. Austin then disposed of his old finishing move the 'Million Dollar Dream', which was the trademark of 'Million Dollar Man' Ted Dibiase, and began racking up the victories with his Stone Cold Stunner (kick to the gut followed by a jawbreaker). Austin then had a good winning streak going by 1996 and wrestled to become the 1996 King Of The Ring. Austin cut his lip open during one match, and had to get it stitched up in between matches. In the grand final of the KOTR he defeated Jake 'The Snake' Roberts with a Stone Cold Stunner, and invented his famous motto as 'Austin 3:16'.
As 1997 rolled around Austin's career soared to new heights. WCW realised Austin's popularity, and tried to make a 'clone' when they invited 'Bill Goldberg' to compete for them. During that year, Austin won the WWF Intercontinental Championship twice and the Tag Team Championships. When Austin successfully defended the IC title against Rocky Maivia (now known as The Rock, real name 'Dwayne Johnson') on a taping of RAW, he was ordered to defend it again because he drove his pickup truck to the ring and delivered a Stunner to D'Lo Brown ('A.C. Conner') on the roof, which 'Vince McMahon' saw as weapon usage. Austin refused to defend the title again and dumped the old belt in a river, and therefore McMahon crowned Rocky Maivia as the new champion. However, Austin said he didn't care about that title, and set his sights on the Heavyweight Championship.
Although Austin had won the 1997 Royal Rumble to qualify as the Number 1 Contender for the championship at WrestleMania XIII, he didn't get the place because he was eliminated but referees didn't notice, so instead, Austin fought 'Bret Hart' in an Iron Man match which Hart won when Austin passed out from blood loss when he was trapped in a Sharpshooter. However, Austin successfully won the 1998 Royal Rumble when he eliminated Rocky Maivia. A stipulation was made for the main event at WrestleMania XIV (Austin vs. 'Shawn Michaels'): the special guest referee would be Iron 'Mike Tyson'! Austin had made a friendship with Tyson, but all though Tyson betrayed him when he joined DX! However, Tyson shocked the world when Austin hit Michaels with a Stone Cold Stunner and covered him while Tyson made the count, to win his first heavyweight title! Austin then went on to enjoy three months as champion when he lost the title to Kane ('Glen Jacobs' in a First Blood match on June 28, 1998, at King Of The Ring. However, Austin regained the title a day later, and was forced to compete for it in a tournament at the 1998 Survivor Series. He was defeated by Mankind ('Mick Foley'), and later that night, The Rock won the championship and joined the Corporation. As 1999 came around, Austin became embroiled in a feud with The Rock when Vine McMahon eliminated him from the Royal Rumble while The Rock had him distracted. However, Austin still got the place in the main event at WrestleMania XV, and he won his third championship from The Rock with a Stone Cold Stunner. He retained the title against The Rock in a Boiler Room Brawl at Backlash 1999. Austin lost the title to The Undertaker ('Mark Callaway'), but regained it in July 1999.
Later that year, at the 1999 Survivor Series Austin was ran over by a car and had to have spinal surgery, and was out of action for the next 11 months. However, Austin returned to the wrestling scene at Backlash 2000 when he helped The Rock win his fourth WWF Championship from Triple H ('Michael Paul LeVesque'). Austin was then welcomed back to wrestle in October 2000 at No Mercy, when he fought Rikishi ('Solofa Fatu') in a No Holds Barred match which had to be stopped when Austin was about to run Rikishi over but was arrested by the police. The mystery was revealed that it was Triple H who had Rikishi run Austin over, and Austin battled Triple H at Survivor Series 2000, and won the match. Steve had a chance to win the WWF title from 'Kurt Angle', who was reigning at the time, at Armaggedon 2000, in a Six-Man Hell In A Cell Match, which also had Kurt Angle, The Rock, Triple H, Rikishi, and The Undertaker. Austin had the title in his grasp when he hit The Rock with a Stone Cold Stunner, but Angle snuck up and covered The Rock to retain the title. Austin's hopes raised yet again when he eliminated Kane from the 2001 Royal Rumble, therefore becoming the first and only ever three-time Royal Rumble winner, and the Number One Contender for the WWF Championship.
At No Way Out 2001, Austin lost a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls match to Triple H, when they both knocked each other out, but Triple H fell on top of Austin. Later that night, The Rock defeated Kurt Angle to become the first-ever six-time WWF World Champion, therefore deciding that the main event at WrestleMania X7 would be The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin defeated The Rock on April 1, 2001, for his fifth WWF title, but turned heel when he joined forces with Vince McMahon. The Rock was suspended from the WWF for almost four months. Austin's reign as Champion lasted for 5 months and 22 days, which was the longest championship reign in several years. Austin won the Tag Team Championship with Triple H at Backlash 2001, but they lost them again on May 21, on a taping of RAW to 'Chris Jericho' and 'Chris Benoit'. In that same match, Triple H tore his quadricep muscle and had to go to hospital for eight months of surgery.
At King Of The Ring 2001 on June 24 Austin retained the title successfully from both Jericho and Benoit in a Triple Threat match. Austin shocked the world by turning heel again on July 22, 2001 when he joined the WCW/ECW Alliance, helping them win the Inaugural Brawl against the WWF, and also invented the catchphrase of 2001, which was "What?". However, Vince McMahon reinstated The Rock on July 30. In August, Kurt Angle started feuding with Austin and was determined to take the championship back from him at Summerslam. Austin disqualified himself to remain the champion, however, Angle won the title back from him at Unforgiven on September 23, 2001. Austin then regained the title from Angle on RAW in October, when William Regal came to his aid. In November, Austin narrowly escaped losing the title to The Rock at Rebellion, with a little help from Kurt Angle. Later that month, The Rock put the WCW/ECW Alliance out of business in the Winner Take All match, which was also Austin's first loss to The Rock.
However, Austin returned to the federation, still as the heavyweight champion the night after, but lost it to Chris Jericho on December 9, 2001, when Jericho became the first-ever Undisputed Champion when Austin was defeated in the grand finals. Austin then challenged Jericho for the Undisputed title at No Way Out 2002 in February, and would have won the match, but the nWo interfered and attacked Austin, helping Jericho retain the title. Austin then feuded with the nWo's 'Scott Hall' and faced him in a match at WrestleMania X8, which Austin won, even putting away the difficulty that was made by 'Kevin Nash's constant interfering.
At Backlash 2002 Austin faced the Undertaker in a Number 1 Contender match for the Undisputed Championship, but Austin was screwed out of the decision when The Undertaker booted a steel chair into his face and covered him for the pinfall. Austin had his foot on the rope, but special referee 'Ric Flair' didn't notice. Austin began feuding with Flair and faced him in a 2-On-1 Handicap match at Judgment Day 2002 - Flair's partner was Big Show 'Paul Wight'. That would be Austin's last PPV match, as early in June, he did not show up for a taping of RAW. Austin has not been seen since. He is 6'2", and when he first entered the federation he weighed 241 pounds, but boosted up to 252 later on in his career. He says that his weight "depends on how much beer I drink".

His ex-wife Jeannie, was married to British wrestler "Gentleman" Chris Adams, who trained Austin in the sport. Jeannie served as Austin's valet for several years. She was known as "Lady Blossom" and used to wrestle Adams' second wife Toni, in mixed tag-team matches (Austin would be her partner while Adams teamed with his wife).
Attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas.
Played defensive end for North Texas State University.
Has had several serious injuries including a neck injury that kept him out of the ring for 8 months.
Lost to Bret Hart - aka Bret The Hitman Hart - in all four of their encounters. While Austin never pinned Bret Hart in a TV/PPV encounter, he did not lose all of their matches. Austin lost Hart's Return match at Survivor Series 1996 and passed out at the "I Quit" match at Wrestlemania 13 (though he never said I quit). However at the April 1997 PPV, Austin won by DQ against Bret when the Hart Foundation interferred while Austin had Bret trapped in Bret's own signature submission move, the Sharpshooter. The following night on Raw, it took several WWF officials to pull Austin off Bret in a "Street Fight" where Austin again had Bret trapped in the Sharpshooter for several mintes. Austin severely injured Bret's leg and allegedly attacked him in the ambulance after the match was over. Since it was a no-DQ match, Austin it is presumed Austin won the match due to Bret's injury.
Met his current wife Debra - when she was serving as the valet for Jeff Jarrett in the WWF.
Wrestled in a barbwire match while in the ECW.
Stone Cold got his nickname from his ex wife. She was British and she served Steve Austin some hot tea, and at the time he was thinking of a new nickname because "Stunning" wasn't cool enough anymore. So when his then wife noticed he wasn't drinking his tea she said, "You'd better drink your tea before it gets Stone Cold.". And that is the story of Stone Cold Steve Austin's nickname.
When he won the 1996 King of the Ring tournament, he was trying to get over as a heel (a bad guy)
On March 18, 2002, due to "creative problems", Steve walked out on the WWF and did not show up for the scheduled Raw taping in Montreal. On June 10, 2002, Steve did the exact same thing, walking out and left for home in San Antonio, Texas. Both of these were done without notice and without WWF company approval.
Because there was already a wrestler named Steve Williams, Stone Cold took his name from Lee Majors's character from "The Six Million Dollar Man" (1974), and became Steve Austin.
Steve Austin held the WCW tag title with Brian Pillman. Once beating Steamboat/ Douglas then lost the tag titles when Brian Pillman broke his ankle and was forced to team with Regal.
Has had problems with his right knee since 1995 when he injured it.
He has the claim of fame of being the first wrestler to be fired by fedex. Steamboat and Waltman were soon to follow on that list.
In a recent media interview in Miami, Vince McMahon owner of the WWE admitted he looks forward to seeing Steve Austin back in the WWE in 2003. This is the first time since Austin walked out on the WWE that Vince has spoken about his wish for Austin to return. At the time of Austin's walkout Vince said that Austin would never work for the WWE again, however a slump in ratings and a lack of main event talent has lead Vince to make a U-turn about Steve Austin. When Steve Austin returns it appears he will be on the Smackdown roster as he prefers working with wrestlers like Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Edge.
One reason for his falling-out with WCW was his wanting to team with WCW newcomer Hulk Hogan, which Eric Bischoff stated that he couldn't see happening.
After Wrestlemania XIX Austin was forced to realise that his already injured and surgically repaired neck could no longer take the pounding it takes from active wrestling. Steve Austin was forced to retire from wrestling and instead took up an on air role as Co-General Manager of RAW. However just recently (June 2003) after seeing how Kurt Angle has made a quick return from a new kind of neck surgery, Austin has spoken about possibly getting the same treatment or having some form of surgery so that he could possibly have one last match or maybe work a light wrestling schedule similar to the one Shawn Michaels wrestles. Right now Austin says he is postponing treatment to concentrate on establishing himself as a GM and when the time comes in the next few months he will look at surgery.
The gold chain "Stone Cold" wears was given to him by his tag team partner at the time, the late "Flyin" Brian Pillman right before they made their debut as "The Hollywood Blondes" in WCW.
He has 2 children with his ex-wife Jeannie. He adopted the child Jeannie had from her first marriage.
Was the first person to enter the WWE arena when "Raw Is War" (1997) debuted on TNN.
In his spare time, he enjoys game-hunting on his Texas ranch.
Another of his hobbies is collecting antiques.
While in WCW, he once traveled with Mick Foley and Dallas Page. Because Page was so easy to rile up on a trip, he and Foley pulled a number of stunts trying to see how long it would take Page to crack.
Real life best friends are The Rock, Mick Foley and Bill Goldberg.
As of April 17, 2004, Steve is considering doing a program (and possibly a match) with Bill Goldberg in Japan.
Notable Title Wins Include: WCW World Television Title (2); WCW World Tag Team Title w/Brian Pillman; WCW United States Heavyweight Title (2); WWF King of the Ring 1996; WWF Royal Rumble winner 1997, 1998, 2001; WWF Tag Team Title w/Shawn Michaels; WWF Tag Team Title w/Dude Love; WWF Intercontinetial Title (2); WWF Federation Title (6); WWF Tag Team Title w/Undertaker; WWF Tag Team Title w/Triple H
When Steve joined ECW, he would mock older wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, Macho Man and cut contraversial promos on Eric Bischoff. He had a intense rivalry with the Sandman before leaving for the WWF.
Says his best match is the Submission match he had with Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 in 1997.
Learned the Stone Cold Stunner from Michael PS Hayes (once a member of the Freebirds).
The "What?" gimmick started on an August 2001 episode of RAW, during the time he was the ring leader of the WCW faction. While asking Hugh Morrus (Bill DeMott) why he lost his last match, he followed up each question with "What?". It quickly became part of the wrestling crowd's vocabulary, even though Austin himself doesn't say, "What?" anymore while cutting promos. Surprisingly, the "What?" chants have also become part of Kurt Angle's gimmick.
Same birthday as Brad Pitt, Casper Van Dien and Steven Spielberg.
Shares the same birthday as fellow WWE Superstars Trish Stratus and Rob Van Dam.
Debuted in The WWE in 1996 as The Ringmaster.
In 1999 was the Storyline CEO of The WWE.
After leaving Raw in November 2003, returned in January as The Sheriff of Raw.
Former Co-General Manager of RAW.
In his Wrestlemania debut, defeated Savio Vega.
Austin formed a tag team with Brian Pillman. The team was dubbed the Hollywood Blondes
Austin debuted in ECW as "The Extreme Superstar"
Former WCW Tag Team Champion.
Former WCW United States Champion.
When he was going to make his WWE debut against "good guy" Bret Hart, Austin based his "don't give a damn" character from a movie called the Ice Man, a movie about a cold-hearted killer. He believes that this would give him an edge to become a villain. His ex-wife Jeanie gave him the nickname "Stone Cold". But when facing Hart, he was shocked that everyone was cheering for him. Since then, Stone Cold Steve Austin became an "anti-hero" and would use his finishing move, the Stone Cold Stunner, on anyone who gets in the ring with him; whether the person is good or bad.
Adam Sandler ranks him as one of his all time favorite co-stars

Steve Austin is Born!
Steve Austin was born in 1990 when a 25 year old Steve Williams decided to pursue a life long interest and enrolled in a wrestling school run by Chris Adams. In 1991 'Stunning' Steve Austin debuted in World Championship Wrestling.
Time in WCW and ECW
Steve Austin spent five years in WCW. He held the TV Title twice, the US Title twice, and the Tag Titles once with the late Brian Pillman.
1991-06-03 Steve defeats Bobby Eaton winning the WCW World TV Championship. On 1992-04-27 Barry Windham defeats Austin for the TV Title in a best of three. Austin's reign fell 9 days short of Arn Anderson's record. 1992-06-23 Steve Austin defeats Barry Windham for his second TV Title reign. On 1992-09-02 Austin loses the title to Ricky Steamboat in a no-DQ match.
1993-03-02 wins Tag Titles with Brian Pillman defeating Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas. The Hollywood Blondes become a top team. Several months later (1993-08-18) Pillman goes on the injured list and Austin loses the Tag Titles, with replacement Steven Regal, to Arn Anderson and Paul Roma. The Blondes breakup.
1993-12-27 Steve defeats Dustin Rhodes (aka Goldust) two out of three to win the US Title. 1994-09-18 Austin regains US Title from Ricky Steamboat, who forfeited due to injury. Jim Duggan defeats Austin immediately after. At this point Austin is no longer given a push and is held back. Eventually Austin goes on the injured list and leaves WCW.
In the summer of 1995 'Superstar' Steve Austin debuts in Extreme Championship Wrestling. Later that year Austin signs with the WWF.
Steve Austin's rise thru the WWF
Steve Austin debuts as Ted Dibiase's Ringmaster. Soon a feud with Savio Vega leads to a match, 1996-04-28, stipulating that if Austin loses Dibiase must leave the WWF. Austin later claims he threw the match to get rid of Dibiase. Austin begins to take on his Stone Cold persona.
1996-06-23 King of The Ring. Stone Cold defeats Jake 'the Snake' Roberts marking the rise of Austin 3:16. Later that year, Austin begins bad mouthing Bret Hart. At the 1996 Buried Alive, Austin defeats Hunter Hearst-Helmsley (Triple H). 1997 Royal Rumble Austin defeats Bret Hart. At WM XIII Stone Cold loses to Bret Hart in a submission match, passing out rather than submitting. Thus elevating his career even higher.
(1997-05-27) Austin and HBK Shawn Michaels win the Tag Titles defeating Owen Hart and Bulldog. HBK takes time off, Austin is stripped of the Tag Titles. On July 14 Stone Cold is prepared to fight Owen and Bulldog by himself to reclaim the Tag Titles when none other than Dude Love, perhaps better known as Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) came to Stone Cold's aid. Together they defeat Owen and Bulldog to recapture the Tag Team Championship belts.
(1997-08-3) Summer Slam. Austin defeats Owen Hart for his first IC Title win. But vacates the IC and Tag titles due to an injury sustained during the match by a badly executed pile-driver. Stone Cold returns to defeat Owen Hart at Survivor Series (1997-11-09) to win the IC Title a second time. On 1997-12-06 Austin defeats Rocky Maivia (The Rock) retaining the IC Title, however the next night on Raw he hands it to Rocky and goes after the WWF Championship. Actually the Rattlesnake took the IC belt and threw it in a river. Stone Cold eliminated Rocky at the 1998 Royal Rumble, earning his title shot at WrestleMania XIV. Steve Austin defeated HBK with Mike Tyson as the enforcer/referee and has fought to hang on to the title as much as possible since then. Stone Cold held the Tag Titles for a third time with, his then number one contender, the Undertaker. They defeated Kane and Mankind at Fully Loaded 1998. Austin's most recent WWF Championship reign ended when Mankind won a Triple Threat match at Summer Slam 1999.
When Stone Cold walks to the ring in his black boots and black trunks everyone watching the show knows anything can happen (and probably will). Most of Stone Cold's success may be attributed to three words: "Don't trust anybody!"
On Byte This 1999-11-04 Austin said that he is indeed dating Debra, the two went on a hunting trip recently. He likes working with Triple H and said he, or the Undertaker, would be his first choice for a partner if he had to have one. On training he commented, "I like my hamburgers and beer." Austin likes to enjoy life, so he doesn't train as seriously as some other stars. He also mentioned that he may be getting new entrance music. One of his favorite past WWF stars was Ricky Steamboat. Also he remarked that Shawn Michaels was kind of a jackass.
Austin's Injury and Return
At Survivor Series (1999-11-14) Steve Austin was hit by a car (scripted) in the parking area and Big Show took his place in the Triple Threat WWF Championship match defeating Triple H and Rock. Austin took the time off to undergo surgery to repair some prior injuries to his neck as well as film two more episodes of Nash Bridges which aired May 5 and May 19.
Austin underwent surgery in January of 2000. His return to the WWF in some capacity was definite but his in ring ability was questionable. The doctors stated a recovery time of around 6 months. On 2000-01-30 Stone Cold was interviewed at his home by Jim Ross, the Rattlesnake plans to be back in the ring in 3 to 4 months. But refuses to get back in at less than 100%. Steve was at the pre-WrestleMania show but did not get involved in any matches. His rehabilitation was going well but doctors still were reluctant to say he could ever compete again.
STEVE AUSTIN FIRST STARTED HIS WRESTLING CAREER IN ECW. HE THEN LEFT AND WENT INTO THE WCW FOR A FEW YEARS UNTIL FINALLY GETTING A CONTRACT WITH THE WWF! HIS WWF DEBUT WAS IN JANUARY OF 96. HIS MANAGER AT THE TIME WAS "THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN" TED DIBIASE UNTIL DIBIASE LEFT FOR WCW IN APRIL OF 96. AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF DIBIASE AUSTIN CHANGED HIS IMAGE AND BECAME "STONE COLD". IN 96 HE WON THE KING OF THE RING TITLE BY DEFEATING JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS. SHORTLY AFTER CAME THE FEUDING WITH BRET HART, LEADING INTO A STRING OF HOUSE SHOWS. IN 97 HE WON THE ROYAL RUMBLE, BUT SOME WILL QUESTION WHETHER IT WAS ACTUALLY A VICTORY FOR HIM OR NOT! NEXT CAME WRESTLEMANIA 13, WHERE STONE COLD AND BRET WRESTLED TO A BLOODY ENDING LEAVING BRET ON TOP WITH THE SHARPSHOOTER AND STONE COLD ON THE MAT, NOT GIVING IN, BLOODY AND PASSED OUT! THEN CAME MORE HOUSE SHOWS WITH McMAHON PUTTING AUSTIN AND SHAWN MICHAELS TOGETHER AS A TAG TEAM, WHICH DIDN'T GO OVER TO WELL WITH STONE COLD, THE BADDEST SOB IN THE WWF, BUT HE DIDN'T MIND IT AS MUCH SINCE THEY WON THE TAG TEAM TITLES! SO AFTER A FEW WEEKS AUSTIN WAS TEAMED UP WITH DUDE LOVE (MANKIND). AND AT SUMMERSLAM AUSTIN WON THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE FROM OWEN HART, BUT HAD TO PAY THE PRICE TO GET IT! OWEN GAVE AUSTIN A PILE DRIVER, AND PARALYSED AUSTIN FOR A FEW SECONDS! AT THE PRESENT, AUSTIN AND DUDE LOVE HAVE HAD TO GIVE BACK THE TAG TITLES.....AND JUST RECENTLY AUSTIN HAD TO RELEASE THE IC BELT! BUT DON'T WORRY....THE BADDEST SOB WILL RETURN BADDER THAN EVER! SINCE THEN AUSTIN HAS BEEN ON A RAMPAGE! AUSTIN HAS STUNNED ALMOST EVERYONE IN THE WWF, EVEN THE MANAGEMENT! HE'S GOTTEN IN ALMOST EVERY WRESTLERS BUSINESS AND DID WHATEVER HE WANTED. AUSTIN'S MAIN FUED IS SHAWN MICHAELS...SINCE AUSTIN'S GOALS WERE SET ON THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP. AT WRESTLEMANIA 14, WITH MIKE TYSON ON DX'S SIDE, DEFEATED MICHAELS FOR THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP! NOW EVERYONE CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE HELL AUSTIN WILL MAKE NOW FOR THE WWF MANAGEMENT!
AUSTIN FILES FOR DIVORCE
PWWLive.com reports that Steve Austin has filed for divorce from his wife Debra on July 22nd. Steve and Debra were married in September of 2000 in Las Vegas, with only Jim Ross and his wife attending from the then WWF. It was Steve's third marriage and Debra's second. On June 15th of this year, law enforcement officers were called into their house after Debra called 911 saying her husband hit her. Austin left the house before police arrived. Earlier this month, an arrest warrant was issued by the district attorney office and Austin turned himself in, posting his $5,000 bond and now awaiting future legal hearings. Both the Rattlesnake and Debra were taken off the WWE active roster for walking out for the second time before an episode of RAW in June.

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN ARRESTED
Steve Austin has been arrested for spousal abuse.
The grappler and his wife Debra had a heated argument on June 15th, during which Austin allegedly assaulted her.
A Judge signed off an arrest warrant Monday after reviewing a police incident report and a complaint filed by Debra - also a
former wrestling personality.
The former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, whose real name is Steve Williams, was officially charged with an assault that caused bodily injury. Williams, 37, was booked and fingerprinted shortly before posting a $5,000 bond.
According to The San Antonio Express Williams said that "Nothing happened" as he left the courthouse with two lawyers.
"I rather not comment right now," he added.
The case has been assigned to Judge Bill White's County Court-at-Law 7, but an appearance date for the wrestler has not been set.
In June, Williams was taken of WWE's active roster after he failed to show up as scheduled at two events.

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN ARRESTED
Pro wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin surrendered to authorities today after an arrest warrant was issued based on a domestic violence complaint filed by his wife earlier this year.
According to court documents, a judge signed off on the arrest warrant Monday after reviewing a police incident report and a complaint filed by Williams' wife, Debra — also a former wrestling personality.
The former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, whose real name is Steve Williams, was accompanied by his lawyers to a small booking room located in the basement of the Bexar County Courthouse this afternoon.
There, he was officially charged with an assault that caused bodily injury. Williams, 37, was booked and fingerprinted shortly before posting a $5,000 bond.
About a dozen courthouse employees were seen standing around in the hallway in hopes of catching a glimpse of the 6-foot-2, 260-pound wrestling star who makes his home in the San Antonio area.
“Nothing happened,” Williams said as he left the room and headed toward the courthouse's exit with two lawyers. “I rather not comment right now.”
Debra Williams could not be reached for comments.
A police report indicates that Debra called police around 4 a.m. June 15. The officer who responded to the Williams' Dominion estate found the wife at the front of the house crying. The officer noted seeing “a large noticeable welt” on the right side of her face — just below her eye.
The wrestler left the house before police arrived but later spoke to the responding officer by phone. Williams declined to return to the house despite the officer’s urging.
The Police Department forwarded the case to the Bexar County district attorney's officer, which pursued the case and presented it to the judge this week.
The case has been assigned to Judge Bill White’s County Court-at-Law 7, but an appearance date for the wrestler has not been set.
In June, in Austin's world of professional wrestling, officials at World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., headquartered in Stamford, Conn., charged that their featured TV attraction had failed to show up as scheduled at two events and “is no longer an active member of WWE's talent roster.”
Debra Williams, who became a wrestling personality in 1997, married Austin last year in Las Vegas. The wrestler, who is on his third marriage, became one of the biggest stars in pro wrestling history when his “Stone Cold” character took off in 1997.

STEVE AUSTIN STORY GOES NATIONAL!
Steve Austin is in no legal trouble at this point unless his wife presses charges, which at this point she hasn't done. KMOL-TV in San Antonio did use a helicopter to follow Austin around yesterday in his Corvette and he had an open beer container and flipped the reporters off when he realized what they were doing. They also filmed him talking to a neighbor outside of his house. Austin is getting far more pub for the Debra incident around North America than for leaving WWE. Howard Stern wanted to get Austin on the phone, but didn't happen. He did do a skit where he imitated Austin doing a wrestling promo and played sound effects of a beating. TV show Xtra has a feature on it tonight. It ran on all the major wire services and in the cities where the newspapers sometimes give wrestling cursory coverage, they did a brief story on it.
18th June 2002
HELICOPTER FOLLOWING AUSTIN!
The same source that broke the initial Austin/Debra assault story is now reporting that a helicopter with a cameraman inside followed "Stone Cold" Steve Austin today.
Apparently the camera has footage of Steve Austin talking to someone in a nearby truck, while standing beside a yellow sports car.
This footage has already aired on the ABC news affiliate in Houston, Texas, and is reportedly going to air on some news affiliates in San Antonio, possibly the same station that first reported the Debra/Austin assault story last night, which is KMOL - the NBC affiliate in San Antonio.
The ProWrestlingTorch has confirmed this story, adding that KMOL-TV followed Austin's movements around all day with their news helicopter. According to The Torch, Austin left his home only once on Monday to meet with a family member. Helicopter footage shows Austin wearing workout clothes and driving with an open beer container in his hand. At one point, Austin noticed the camera and gave it the middle finger. Austin and Debra continue to refuse comment about the events of the past week.
AUSTIN ASSAULTS WIFE!
Shocking details are still coming out from yesterday's news of Austin hitting his wife in their Texas home. Debra told the police that it wasn't the first time that her husband hit her and she was always afraid to call the police due to his high-profile status. She told the police officer, "I can't believe he hit me." W-O Newsletter reader Mark Roberts sent in a link from TheSmokingGun.com website which shows a scan of the police incident report. The report says that Steve left the house right after Debra called the police. The officers who responded to the 911 call found her crying at the front door of their house. She had a swollen right cheek and bruises on her back after her husband hit her several times and shoved her. The report also states that the victim refused medical help. Steve called twice while police officers were investigating Debra but refused to go home as requested by the police.
The officer who spoke with Steve told him that there will be a detective that will assess the assault. Steve thanked him and said he understands. No charges have been filed by Debra. The scan of the police report can be seen at http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/stonecold1.html

JR SPEAKS CANDIDLY ABOUT STEVE AUSTIN
In his latest Ross Report, the whole commentary is dedicated to the shocking events that led Steve Austin to walk out of the company this past Monday before a live RAW broadcast. "It is hard to believe that Stone Cold Steve Austin has left the company over differences in creative direction," JR said. "It is even harder to believe that his WWE career looks to be at its end as a result of this matter," he added. In his report, JR said that he and Steve are very close friends, and both have been there for each other when it was needed. However, despite their friendship, Ross said that the way Austin left the company is not the way to do business. He said that the action cannot be justified no matter what the situation is. Ross thinks that there may be other facts that are bothering Austin in the company but doesn't know what they are. JR added that the interview for Confidential he taped yesterday was one of the most challenging things he did since starting in the business. He also sent a message to the other veterans in the WWE locker room that this is a time when the company needs them as locker room leaders, and if they don't want to it, they should "simply step out of the way and make people miserable elsewhere." He closed his commentary by saying that if he's unable to correct the whole situation as head of the Talent Relations for WWE, he will be heading back home but not before without a fight, and certainly not by walking out of the company. "When I leave I will give my notice in person." One word: Wow! You can read the four page commentary at http://www.wwe.com/news/rossreport

AUSTIN OFF THE ACTIVE ROSTER
WWE.COM today said that Stone Cold Steve Austin has been taken off the active roster for walking out without notice for the second time in a couple of months. The statement says that Austin made the personal and unprofessional decision not to talk with management and quitting before a live show. As of today, the former champion is benched, literally. Dave Scherer of 1wrestling.com adds to the story that this week on Confidential, both Jim Ross and Vince McMahon have some 'very stiff'
things to say about Austin and everything will make it on the air.
June 2002
AUSTIN WALKS OUT
The big story this week is Stone Cold Steve Austin - for the second time - walking out of the company before RAW causing chaos and major part of the broadcast to be re-written just hours before the show went live on TNN. Wade Keller of the Torch reported that creative differences were once again the problem between Austin and management. He was set to face Brock Lesnar on RAW yesterday. On Byte This! two weeks ago Austin voiced his concern about the poor creative direction the company is heading to and made it clear that he's not happy at all. The day after WrestleMania X8, Austin walked out and was MIA for two straight weeks. Austin bought a ticket for himself and wife Debra and got out of Atlanta in the afternoon, flying back to his home in Texas. Hopefully we'll have more details in tomorrow's issue.
April 2001
Austin once again holds the WWF Title, defeating The Rock at Wrestlemania.
November 2000
Austin is back in action and feuding with HHH, The Rock and set for a program with Kurt Angle
Steve Austin is currently on the mend and will be back in WWF storylines in the near future. Austin is a multi time champion, and is largely responsible for pro wrestlings current unbelievable popularity! People seem to relate to Austin's "kick ***" attitude, I know I do! Austin has already attained his position as a true legend of professional wrestling.
Update
Steve Austin looks likely to make his in ring return at WWF Wrestlemania 2000. Most likely to being involved in the main event, not as an actual competitor, but no doubt in a physical manner to influence the outcome of the match (I know the outcome is fixed / is a work). I'm just going with the storylines. Expect a stunner to either HHH or The Rock
Real Name: Steve Williams
Birthday: December 18
Hometown: Victoria, Texas
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 246 lbs.
Finisher: Stone Cold Stunner
Titles Held: 1 (Current) WWF World Champion, 2 WWF IC Titles, 2 WWF Tag Titles, 2 WCW US Titles, 2 WCW TV Titles, 1 WCW Tag Title, 1996 King of the Ring, 1997 and 1998 Royal Rumble Winner, Million Dollar Champion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stone Cold Steve Austin built a solid, but not great career in WCW where he took home a couple of TV and US titles. He was fired though because, "Nobody would make it in today's world with black tights and black boots," according to Eric Bischoff. After making a short stop in ECW and debuting the idea of Steveamania, Austin was hired by the WWF as "The Ringmaster." He was the protégé of Ted Dibiase and ended up "winning" the Million Dollar Title, but that angle ended fast when Dibiase left the WWF. The WWF could not waste the talent of Austin so they put him in the 1996 King of The Ring. He went through all of the competition, and with a bleeding lip and all, defeated the injured Jake the Snake Roberts to win the 1996 KOTR. At the ceremony to proclaim him the king, Austin set the WWF on fire with his new motto of the year and that was the rules of Austin3:16.
Austin ridded his new wave of success with his bad attitude and his funny quotes all the way through SS when he suffered a setback loss to Bret Hart. But Austin didn't lose focus and continued on to winning the Royal Rumble. The referee's didn't see him get eliminated, and he got back in the ring like nothing happened and went on to win the Rumble. After being eliminated in the Final Four Match at an IYH after the Rumble by Bret Hart, Austin vowed to make the Hitman pay. At Wrestlemania 13, Austin lost the I quit match to Hart after passing out, while bleeding and locked in the Sharpshooter. But Austin won the support of the fans on that night, and began the fight against the Hart Foundation that would last him through the year, at least until Summerslam.
1997 Summerslam was a day to forget as Austin, although defeating Owen Hart for the IC title, almost broke his neck after a tombstone piledriver. Austin would be out of action for months, but still raised havoc on the microphone. Austin was forced to give up the IC title while injured, but made a triumphant return at the November Survivor Series classic by beating Owen Hart and getting back the title. Austin continued his comeback with a win over Rocky Maivia at the December IYH and eliminated the Rock at the 1998 Royal Rumble to gain a shot against HBK for the WWF Title.
Wrestlemania 14 was the night that Stone Cold was on and with Mike Tyson in the corner of HBK and dX, he had to go up against a lot. But Tyson showed his true colors by knocking out Michaels, and after a Stone Cold Stunner, Steve Austin and Mike Tyson celebrated as a NEW WWF Champion was crowned. Vince McMahon has since tried to tone down the tactics of Austin, but to no avail as Austin has gained victories over Dude Love at the last 2 WWF PPV's. With Kane on the horizon at the 1998 KOTR, this could be the year that Steve Austin is #1 in the professional Wrestling World.
Just last night, Stone Cold suffered a monster setback when he was defeated by Kane for the WWF World Heavyweight Title. Although the Undertaker was the one to make Austin bleed, Kane still got the victory, leaving Austin titleless and ticked off. Where does the Rattlensake go from here?? I have a feeling that the Lord of Darkness may be waiting in the wings.
http://www.stone-cold.com helped contribute to this Bio. They probably have the best info. on Steve Austin on the entire net so check them out
Stone Cold Steve Austin. The mere mention of his name will
bring any sold-out crowd to its feet in a crazed frenzy. Never before
has the world of professional wrestling seen a phenomenon like the
one that Stone Cold Steve Austin has created. At any live event
you attend, all you see is a sea of Austin 3:16. Why? Because
Stone Cold said so!!
When Steve Austin entered the Mecca Arena in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin for the 1996 King of the Ring, he never could have
imagined that before the evening was through, he would begin to
change the entire face of the wrestling world. After beating the
Bible-referencing Jake "The Snake" Roberts to become King of the
Ring, Austin accepted his crown, and upon doing so informed
Roberts that, "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your @#$!" That
was all it took. With that simple phrase Steve Austin had become
the most popular superstar to ever compete in this sport.
Austin staked his claim of being the toughest S.O.B. to ever
compete in the World Wrestling Federation and at WrestleMania 13
he proved his point. Bret Hart and Stone Cold were competing in a
submission match. A pinfall did not count, a count-out did not
matter and you could not win by disqualification. You had to get
your opponent to submit. With Austin cut above his left eye, Hart
placed Stone Cold in the мSharpshooterо for what seemed like an
eternity. Quickly losing a great amount of blood, Austin would not
give up and instead fell unconscious, forcing special guest referee
Ken Shamrock to end the match. Even though he was not officially
credited with the victory, the amount of respect Stone Cold received
from that match was immeasurable. Now everyone had to take
note--Stone Cold Steve Austin was going to back up anything he
said!!
Austin continued trying to destroy the Hart Foundation. With Bret
out of action for a while, Stone Cold turned his attention to Owen
Hart and the British Bulldog, and he reluctantly teamed with Shawn
Michaels to defeat them and take away their Federation Tag Team
belts. A few months later at SummerSlam, Steve Austin and Owen
Hart once again crossed paths with Federation Gold on the line, but
this time it was Hart's Intercontinental Title. Although Austin
defeated Owen to become the Intercontinental Champion, the
Rattlesnake suffered a severe neck injury which was at the very
least career-threatening. Barely able to walk out of Continental
Airlines Arena that night, Austin went on live TV the next
evening to challenge Hart to a rematch. Federation officials would
not let Stone Cold in the ring until he received medical clearance.
For the next few weeks, Austin went on a tirade at Federation
officials, physically assaulting everyone from Commissioner
Slaughter to commentator Jim Ross to Federation Chairman Vince
McMahon!! Austin felt he was ready to get back in the ring and
didn't appreciate everyone telling him what he could and could not
do.
At the 1997 Survivor Series in Montreal, Quebec, Stone Cold
returned to action. Owen Hart was once again the Intercontinental
Champion, having won the belt in a tournament after Austin was
forced to give it up. Stone Cold wanted "his" title back from the
King of Harts', and he got it!
Austin held on to the belt for over a month when, one day after
defeating Rocky Maivia at D-Generation X, he just handed it over
to The Rock, claiming he had "bigger fish to fry." And what
exactly is that bigger fish? Well, in his own words to Vince
McMahon, Austin let us know recently on Raw is War. мI done
been the Intercontinental Champion, I done been a Tag Team
Champion. Hell, son, there ainнt but one belt in the Federation I'm
interested in.о Everyone knew exactly what belt Stone Cold Steve
Austin was talking about, especially the Heartbreak Kid Shawn
Michaels. Austin has challenged for the World Wrestling
Federation Title before, but has never been able to win it. One
thing Stone Cold has proven time and time again is that he backs
up EVERYTHING he says. The Texas Rattlesnake earned a title
shot at WrestleMania XIV by winning the 1998 Royal Rumble.
Will Austin 3:16 say, "I just became the new World Wrestling
Federation Champion,"when he leaves Boston on March 29?
The Bio
Austin began his wrestling training at 'Chris Adams' Wrestling School. He would later be known as the schools first graduate.
Steve Austin made his debut in 1989, defeating Frogman Lablanc. However, Steve finally, on February 23, 1990, he would test his skills to the max when Chris Adams wrestled Steve Austin. Austin won the bout by Disqualification. Later he defeated , along with partner Jeff Gaylord, to defeat Adams and Matt Borne (Doink).
Steve then made matters worse by recruiting Jeanine Adams, Chris's ex-wife. So to counter this action, Adam's brought, his current wife, Toni into it. So the feud became the most intense feud in the USWA during 1990. They soon got to intense for officials to handle. On July 4th it was a no contest due to Austin piledriving Adams to the outside.
Steve Austin was the PWI (Pro wrestling Illustrated)'s rookie of the year in 1990. Steve then arrived in WCW as Stunning Steve Austin. In his first match in the promotion he defeated Sam Houston. Jeanine joined Austin as his valet. Then known as Lady Blossom. Four day's later he captured the TV World title from Bobby Eaton. He wore that title for the next 429 days, out of 455 day's.
On August 25 he entered a tournament for the U.S. title, Vacated by Lex Luger, but lost to sting in the finals. Steve let go of Lady Blossom and hired Paul E. Dangerously, to manage him. He finally lost his title to Barry Windham on 4-27-92. As a part of the Dangerous Alliance, Steve was on the losing team at War Games '92 on may 17. Six day's later he won it back from Barry Windham. Austin then lost it, to Rick Steamboat, at Clash of the Champions 20, on Sept. 2. A months later he teamed with Brian Pillman as the Hollywood Blondes. Who later won the Tag Team titles on 3-2-93 from Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas. They became one of the most dominant teams in the history of WCW! They were even praised by Jesse "The Body" Ventura as his favorite tag team.
The Blondes went on to defeat and devour all of the competition in the tag team ranks, including the 4 Horsemen's Arn Anderson and Paul Roma at Beach Blast '93. Due to an ankle injury, he could not defend his half of the title on August 18. Pillmans' substitute was Steve Regal, Austin then lost his tag titles to Anderson and Roma. Without a partner, Steve Austin went back to singles competition, and took the manager Col. Robert Parker in the process. Pillman made his redebut, but refused the services of Parker. This started a feud, titled battle of the Blondes. They had a memorable match at Clash 25, where Parker helped Austin defeat Pillman.
Austin went on to defeat Dustin Rhodes (Gold Dust), to win the United States Heavy weight title in a controversial, two out of three falls match at Starcade '93. Later in his title regain, he dropped Parker and went at it on his own. 8 months later he lost the title to Ricky Steamboat at Clash 27. Later, a month exactly, he regained the title from Steamboat, when Steamboat was injured and forced to give it up.
Steve than loosed an impromptu match to Jim Duggan, and lost the title. This match was made by Nick Bokwinkel, and Jim Duggan was just debuting. He lost it in 20 seconds.
In a rematch, he tore ligaments in his left knee. He returned in 3 months, witch was expected to be a year, and wrestled in Japan. He tore a muscle in his right shoulder. WCW then saw fit to fire him. They did it the chicken @$$way, and fired him over the phone. He then debuted in ECW and made his presence felt as "The Superstar" SteveAustin.
The WWF noticed his talent and brought him in, with Ted Dibiasi as his manager, the Ringmaster.
He then had a major feud with Savio Vega. They had a match at Wrestle Mania XII. Then ,at In Your House: Beware of Dog 2, they had a strap match, which ended up in Dibiasi leaving the WWF. He is now on his own as Stone Cold Steve Austin.
The big point in his WWF career was when he won King of the Ring '96 tournament, defeating Jake Roberts in the finals. For his acceptance speech, as seen on left, he said "You got your psalms, you got your John 3:16's, Well Austin 3:16 say's I just wuped your @--.
He then had matches with many major stars in the WWF, such as Owen Hart, Yokozuna, and many others. Until November 1996.
