Question:
What is the point of these groups, X9, and Y!A7 etc.?

Yet another reason not to be on the Wrestling Section.

I don't see the point of these groups. You can get pissed at me, but I just don't see a point. I don't see how that makes you a better user, in any way. In my opinion, in seems a bit childish. Also, all it does is make people pissed off, and it causes problems.

Great users will not join silly groups, be biased, or insult anyone, and are here to just share their knowledge of Wrestling, and have fun. They don't flaunt that they're better than anyone else, and will have others recognize them, as phenomenal users.

I don't see the meaning of a TC Badge, and then again, I think it is stupid to seek out more glory with a group of some sort. Sure the badge is motivating, but LP23 had a badge, so does that make him a great user?
Also, for example, Geese is an amazing user, who doesn't have a TC Badge. He doesn't come on that often, but he is great.

Shouldn't we concentrate on asking/answering well about Wrestling?

Oops. Joined X9. But I never will consider myself better then anyone here. I don't insult unless its a stupid statement or a troll. And I never block people. The reason I joined was for fun and I get to answer questions with 8 other great users. It doesn't mean I won't answer others. Hell, people, feel free to e-mail and just say "answer my question." I don't even know if I need to be a part of a group, but truth is, others just want to join to feel special, elite. Its like a confidence booster. (Which is like, do I really need it? I'm pretty arrogant and confident about my answers already.)

I mean, I've seem Rated Silents comment about how everybody groups is a rip off of his. All I can say is, so? It is a rip off. And your members always seems to flaunt how great they are as Y!A7. That puts people down and lowers self esteem. Thats why people want to form groups. Being a part of a stable to join an elite group makes a person believe they can be a good user because some one out there acknowledges it by letting you join. Each group is made to get closer to one goal, and that is the top 10. Y!A7 was made to acknowledge guys you believe should be up there already. I like that. And because of that, its a huge ego boost. And are groups really all that bad? The troll ones, yes, but not the ones that look for good users to join. I've seen more people trying to get in to these groups and are trying to better themselves. Thats pretty cool. More people working on being better answerers, less trolls. But I've seen the whiplash effect, where users feel they should be in these groups but aren't invited and they turn into angry bitter users. So is having more groups a bad thing, no. People just want to belong. Technically, the wrestling section, alone, should be a group, but people just don't get along. So these groups aren't meant to start wars or anything. Its just for fun, help boost confidence in users, etc.

In my opinion, users that aren't in groups are awesome, cause they don't need the boost. Users like yourself, lord of darkness, Clown Prince of Crime, etc. Guys with the, I don't give a crap about how you feel about me, attitude. I admire and respect that. Honestly, I don't need to be a part of X9, but I won't lie, I was flattered when The Viper- WWE's Apex Predator asked me to join. So for the heck of it, I just joined. Does that mean I'm a glory hog? Too late. I already was. Thats pretty much why my answers are incredibly long. If I wanted attention, I've say I already left my mark.

And boy, I'm not even gonna start with LP23. Pretty sure what I'll say about him will just have people thumbs down me like crazy. Lets just say I'm an optimistic guy.

@ Rated Silent. Dude. Chill. have fun with it. Your a good user and copying someone is a form of flattery. I say enjoy the moment. As long as you feel better about yourself, that all that matters. (Thats a message to all users, whether they are in groups or not). I for one, am a reasonable guy, am will acknowledge X9 is a rip off of Y!A7. Now, its really up to you if you want to make it a big deal.

And yes. Lets all concentrate on asking/answering questions about Wrestling. Nothing makes you more noticeable in this section then your answers and questions.

@Rated Silent. - There you go. Acknowledge it and move on. Don't let this ruin your image in anyway. (The whole creating enemies cause they are ripping off your group). The only image you should hold is being a great user that answers questions to the best of their ability. etc. And I believe you will be in the top 10 someday. Good luck with that.

@The Bio Hazard - And I have no problem with you. I don't think any of the users of Y!A7 come off as arrogant, in fact you, Rated Silent, and EC Connection seem like nice guys. But I think its just the image of 7 top users that makes people see you guys as arrogant. You know, a vibe? But in my opinion, you guys are great users and should keep it up.

Hey I remember you, you were around here a few months ago. If not, I remember your username.

Okay, I definitely agree with your main statement, basically saying that the great users won't join these groups.

Let me start off by saying: Which user knows of every single other users great answers and/or questions?

Nobody. When they formed the Y!A7, based on the Nexus group, they formed the supposed best 7 users who aren't on the top 10.

If there was a leaderboard for each section, we'd know that 11-17 would be the real Y!A 7, (coincidentally, Y!A7 is the name for the Australian Y!A).

I thought, at first, Y!A7 was a group for Aussie members, so I added it to my name. It's good to let people know I'm from Australia, some nutter thought I was from Denmark (WTF?). I found out it was a group for the best users, I removed it from my name. It creates childish questions such as "Why do people have Y!A7 when some members aren't best/better" or "What's the point of Y!A7?"

It also creates assumptions and suspicion. "Is it just me or do Y!A7 questions often have Y!A7 members getting best answers?"

Then, somebody formed "yWa", "nWo" and more recently, X9. They flood the section with pointless "A spot opened up!!" or "Recruitment for the new Y!A group, *_____*"

Another point, great users are not necessarily TC's. Clown Prince of Crime didn't have a TC badge on his first account but he had over 16,000 points and was known unanimously around the WS. He was still "one of the best". Many great users don't have TC's. Actually, a lot of them do, although a lot of users who ask/answer amazingly will not get BA due to: Questions going to Vote, Friendships between asker/answerer, Trolls, Haters reporting.

As a side note, I do think that the WS Royal Rumble questions can be an exciting format. It could keep certain users coming back, checking if the next round is up, be in it or not.

A TC badge stands for Top Contributor, but it doesn't mean Top Contributor, it means you frequently visit that section.

If I were to be on Level 1, and I answered 30 questions I'd be on level 2, in a day and a bit. If I then answered, I think it's 50, per day until level 3, I'd probably be a TC.

However, were my answers detailed? Were they thorough and informative? Were they really worthy of BA? No, 50 questions answered per day for about 1 week? Who would be bothered to answer with a hefty answer, (such as this question), 50 times?

The WS should have questions such as "Why is *wrestler* better than *wrestler*?" or, "*Wrestler* or *Wrestler*? Why?" and questions relating to recent activity in the WWE, TNA or anything else wrestling related, be it Thumb Wrestling, Arm Wrestling, Mud Wrestling, it goes in this section.

I think the groups are just a way for certain users to have "control" over others. If they want a user out, and they decline, that user is blocked and they might post "Message to *group*!" saying "report *blah blah* he won't quit our group". That is control over every single member who reports the evictee. Also, it may give them "pull" when they answer the members questions.

It is essentially Y!A WS Backstage Politics.

Hmm? You proof of backstage politics?

Sorry if I sound rude, but I'm making a point.

"Well, my (yWa) brother..."

That there gave that user Best Answer. I would've given it to E&C whether I agree'd with him or not.

A yWa member asked, and a yWa member answered. A TC, obviously a higher rank in the group (or maybe even leader).

With these groups, especially if they self percieve themselves as better than others, it really seems arrogant. I know some users are great, and I know some are better than others. I admit it, but I would lose respect if a user that good, when others know they're good, and the user themself know they are good, say something like "Join this group! Good users only!!" and they are already in there.

I saw a Level 2 in a "Best User" group, how much of an Ego can you have? Level 2 and you think you're better than frequent visitors, hefty answerers or even those who ask many questions to keep the section busy? They could barely ask 10 questions, and that would cost them 100 points, which could potentially be nearly *half* of their points.

Here's the deal

Alot of the users, even some of the elite ones in the Top 10, are in these lame e-feds, and what they will do is if they have an issue with a user, they will go into their little chatrooms on their little e-fed sites and convince other users to block and/or disrespect that person. This leads me to believe their are very few men in this section. It's like a domino effect. If you're on the outs with a 'popular' user, you suddenly have 10 other users you've never heard of sending you hate mail and blocking you. E-feds are retarded, full of in fighting, and a waste of time. None of these users are wrestlers but try to act like them. It's a sad sight to see. My advice? Don't join.

Y!A7 is just saying really that you are commited to aswering & asking questions as best as possible.

& at Sharpshotter, I have no probs w/ you but I dont think we ever brag about being in Y!A7 or act like we're better than anyone. But thats just me

Let them be.

and to be honest, the wrestling section isn't just about asking serious question and giving serious answers...sometimes people like to have fun by asking stupid question and giving stupid answers...but if they keep it going on,they will be labeled as Trolls.

and i don't see why people worship the TC badge like that.....it's just a logo.

The Viper - WWE's Apex Predator X9 asked a question yesterday if anyone was interested in joining a group called "X9". I was interested so I joined and earlier today he emailed me to ask me if I wanted to be the joint leader with him of the group. I agreed.

So I have 50% control of this group.
