Question:
Is it a really bad thing that old stars in WWE are Part Timers? (Read Description)?

I always hear people say they dislike wrestlers because they are part timers and always come back for a short time and then end up leaving. But would you seriously want them back full time? All that does is prevent WWE from creating new stars and have to rely on old talent that may not be around for long.

I like the idea that they are part timers. It is a good thing that they are not around full time to steal spotlight from younger guys. The only thing I could wish is that they split part timers returns and matches. Majority of the time, the Part Timers have matches at one of the 4 big paper views (Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Wrestlemania). If they could have part timers return during different times other than Wrestlemania season and Summerslam season, then I think it would make the product better overall throughout the year. But I am glad WWE keeps the old stars as part timers.

I think the problem most people have is that the old stars come in around Wrestlemania and take that spotlight then, when they would prefer it be on someone who is there year round and young, if you look at the last few Wrestlemanias, Dave Batista, The Rock, both considered part timers coming in during the main event

I don't mind them coming back but what I hate is when you only get to see them wrestle at the paper view event.

It's not the stars that are the problem. It's the people who expect them to be the same guys they were 10 to even 30 years ago. Then when they're not, as they can't possibly be, people whine about it.

I have no problem in old timers coming back until and unless they want to come back to 'win' and take the spotlight away from younger talents. The guys who come back should be used to put over younger talents instead of giving them title runs and Main Events. For example.Jericho. He returns puts over the champion, puts over new talents and that's it. When guys like the Rock and Batista come back after a long long time and say they want to win the championship or win the Royal Rumble and they win it making them step right back into the spotlight for what they were. Instead have them fight guys who are the future of the company and have good matches with them and learn to loose. The idea that a part timer deserves to win all of that just for their name is stupid.

Some people suggest that they don't like part timers at all because they take away a PPV spot for the current roster. Which is true but since these guys need to do business, I have no problem of them coming back since they have this nostalgia factor. But for them to be Main Event Stars right away is real BS.

no problem if they are booked correctly
