My 2011 WWE Night Of Champions predictions are as follow:
1.) Intercontinental Championship
Cody Rhodes(C) vs Ted Dibiase - Winner Cody Rhodes
- I think since this feud is starting to develop, that it's best that they still have Rhodes retain at the first bout of the PPV into their new rivalry. I think building Rhodes up more as a heel and giving some development onto Dibiase's character is needed to make this new feud more meaningful and interesting.
2.) WWE Intercontinental Championship
Fatal Four Way Match
Dolph Ziggler(C) vs Jack Swagger vs John Morrison vs Alex Riley - Winner Jack Swagger
- I originally thought that the match going forward toward the PPV was just going to be a singles match between Ziggler and Swagger, but now seeing that Morrison and Riley entered the phrase, I'd say that those two are going to be used as fillers, while the main focus on the match will rely on Swagger, Ziggler, and Vickie. (Who's most likely going to be around ringside. In the end I see Vickie going along with Swagger and helping him receive the US Championship.
3.) WWE Divas Championship
Kelly Kelly(C) vs Beth Phoenix - Winner Beth Phoenix
- Kelly Kelly has surprisingly showcased a great reign as the WWE Divas Championship, she's been on a successful winning streak, defeating the likes of Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Tamina, Natalya and Beth Phoenix at Summerslam. Now with the rematch coming along, being it in Beth Phoenix's hometown, I see her reign coming to an end. I see the Glamazon walking out of Buffalo this Sunday as the new WWE Divas Champion. Plus to build the new faction of the Divas of Doom, I feel that it's the better necessary move.
4.) WWE Tag Team Championships
The Miz & R Truth (Awesome Truth) vs Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston (Air-Boom!) - Winner Air-Boom!
- Based on the weeks leading up to the PPV, and the successful singles wins on both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown this week, I can just see Air-Boom changing the momentum and pulling out a victory here. Both teams has given the WWE Tag Team division a bit of spark these past weeks, and I know their match Sunday will no doubt be fantastic.
5.) World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton(C) vs Mark Henry - Winner Randy Orton
- Mark Henry has definitely risen his stock over the past few months. He's took out top superstars and receive big credible wins over the Big Show, Kane, Sheamus, and recently Ezekiel Jackson. Now, he's finally receive a World title opportunity he'd not have in quite sometime. This match could go either way for me, but considering the recent change of hands the World title's been on this year, I could see Orton pulling a surprising victory. Hard call, but I'd go with the Viper stopping Henry's momentum.
6.) WWE Undisputed Championship
Alberto Del Rio(C) vs John Cena
- This feud has been surprisingly interesting and has been interesting these past few weeks. Their match on Sunday should really be something to see in my opinion. I could see Alberto Del Rio taking the win here, just to further his Championship reign. Alberto Del Rio has been on a role this year and Vince McMahon is reportedly high on him. Also John Cena, shouldn't take the victory here, as a rematch would be the inedible for Del Rio at Hell In a Cell. I'd say Del Rio wins here, setting up another match at the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV.
7.) CM Punk vs Triple H - Winner Triple H
If CM Punk wins, Triple H must resign as COO.
- I see Triple H winning here, by an upsetting interference by either John Laurinaitis or Kevin "Diesel" Nash. The stipulation of this match screams it in my opinion. Also this feud has just started recently after Summerslam, so I can see it developming over the next couple of weeks, maybe even months. So I see Triple H getting the early victory in this feud. CM Punk, will most likely get the ending win to close the feud in the weeks/months go by.
