HS wrestling not pro

Takedown: when you take your opponent to the mat and have him in control 2 pts

Pin: when you have opponents shoulder blades down on mat for about a two seconds

NF: when your opponents back is facing the mat but not pinned, 2 or 3 pts depending on length

Escape: going from a bottom position when opponent is in control to upright and free 1 pt

Reversal: reversing your opponent so you are in control 2 pts

Tech fall: beating opp. by 15 pts. 5 team pts

Throw: what it sounds like

chicken wing/armbar: arm maneuvers

Cross face: grinding your forearm into opp's face

Sprawl: when opponent takes poor shot on you, u do a move similar to an updown to get on top of him

Ive been in this section since 2007 and i had my last account suspended in December 2009. It was a lot better back then because you always saw questions that are rare these days and that actually made you think. There are still great users on here but there's also a bunch of bad users and this section is getting worse everyday. I consider myself one of the few people that have been around since 2007/'08 that actually stayed loyal to this section and im still happy to be a part of this section.

Takedown: is when Simply you take someone down with a arm bar or something!

Pin: when the referee makes a 3 count.

Near Fall: is when someone barley escapes a Pin attemp.

Escape: same as Near Fall

Reversal: is when some say for instence turns a chokeslam into a RKO.

Technical Fall: i i think when someone uses the ropes for help.

Arm Bar: is a arm drag.

Cheicken Wing: is i think applying preasure to a certain part of the body.

Cross Face: is ehen you try to use your hands and put preasure on someones face.

Sprawl: IDK!

Here are some sources

Takedown - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takedown_(grappling)

Pin - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pin_(professional_wrestling)

Near Fall - occurs when a wrestler's shoulders are pinned to the mat for a count of two, but the wrestler manages to escape before the referee's hand hits the mat a third time, which would signify a pinfall

Escape - Kicks out of pin

Reversal - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweep_(grappling)

Technical Fall - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_Fall

Throw - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Throw_(grappling)

Armbar - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armbar#Armbar

Chicken Wing - couldn't find it

Cross Face - couldn't find it either

Sprawl - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprawl_(grappling)

a take down is when someone grabs you by either the waist or legs and takes you down to the mat eg.double leg take down ,go 4 the legs and throw them to the mat, waist lock take down grab them by the waist, lift them ,turn, throw them to the mat and don't let go, near fall- the ref nearly counts 3, reversal you go from defense to offense .eg.if you're in a waist lock, break the hold , go round to their back and put them in a waist lock, technical fall ,you've outscored your opponent, throw,it's as it sounds, arm bar you just pull on their elbow, chicken wing you wrap their arms together and pull upward, crossface, lock your fingers together with one hand facing you, in front of your opponent's face and slightly pull back, a sprawl is where you move your legs backwards in order for your upper body to land on top of the opponent attempting the takedown

Hope i helped and Good Luck

near fall is when you kick out at 2-count. Sorry that's all I know.
