its all kayfabe (which means not real).

No, it's part of a storyline to end the Million Dollar Mania, i know this for sure.

you know, its kind of funny, but during the very opening of the show i noticed that the area around where vince was standing had some unusal gaps, like a trap door or something. Then when I saw the end of the show, I knew why. If you have the show on tape, or PVR, look closely at McMahons opening segment, and see if you notice it, too. I was already onto the stunt 3 hours before they did it, I just didn't know what they were going to do. I had some kind of crazy feeling they were going to do some kind of "mission impossible style" money heist....maybe even involving cryme tyme....lmao...but what they did was far less creative, and about as lame as faking his death...sorry Vince, my idea to end the million dollar mania is way funnier. And using a wrestlers actual name is totally what they would do so lifeless nutcases like us who actually spend so many hours online a day who actually know all the real names of wrestlers can debate this all night after an event. The internet has given them an added challenge in the creative department, they have to keep us guessing and all of us are buying right into it, no matter which side we take on this debate. Quite simply put, if we're debating it...they acheived at least some of what they set out to do.

No it was all staged. They are being repetitve with their storylines only this time it is ending with Mr. McMahon being disabled instead of dead. If you check all the spoiler sites, they say the same thing.

properly before everything i didnt understand what to think of it sort of took place so out of types, improve into no longer looking forward to it. a scripted plot im particular, yet hell whats the reason.? the giveaway hint in case you bear in mind or heard it, while vince suggested as the guy and the dude replied the telephone you would be able to desire to take heed to a noisy squeel as though somebody gets to on the brink of a mic. that's what made me have self assurance it improve into from "at the back of the curtain" particular actual everyone seems to be out for vince often times yet often a reason is worked up and you have some kinda suspect on your ideas. the two i ignored something or their tryin frustrating to maintain you on your ft. reliable teach in any different case! different than for HHH goin to smackdown boooooooo the belief of vikki being at the back of it.. thats approximately as much as i might think of at this element. being he "cant sense his legs" he will finally end up in a wheel chair and its a cripple death tournament sooner or later between the two :)

OMg ok listen up everyone i will clear it for you

I don't need no story to line to figure this out! Ok why just why would they show lighting equipment fall on him on WWE? Why would they show the video if it was real? I mean when Owen hart fell they didn't go post the video on wwe! and also again i am relating to owen Hart (R.I.P) when he fell the announcing people said "THIS IS NOT APART OF THE STORY LINE THIS IS REAL" many many times, don't you think they would of said that about vince? also again with the cameras why would they be shooting his body underneath it if it was real wouldn't it be just the littlest disturbing? also wouldn't it be on the news! One last thing, has everyone forgotten that vince faked his death last year but got cut off because of chris Benoit death mabey they are trying to recycle the scripts! OK i am sorry i rambled on and on hows it fake and relating owen hart and chris benoit (R.I.P) but its basically common sense i hope this kinda helps! Have a nice day everyone! (BTW i watch wrestling wwe)

If this was real it would be all over the news like "World Wrestling Entertainment had alittle mishap on Raw last night. Part of the lighting equipment used at the top of the arena fell off and landed on the stages making the stage collapse hurting Vince McMahon CEO of the WWE." That's what the news would say but it wasnt on the news. But here's something to think. If that big thing that fell from the top of the arena why did it just partially break the stage? It should have made the whole stage collapse and all of the pyros should have went off not the one on Vince's side, all of them. Plus when the McMahon money sign fell someone unlatched the bottom of it with a remote control or by hand under the ring so nobody would see it. Thats how you could tell if it was real.

For all the folks caught up about why HHH rushed over there, consider that Mr. McMahon's daughter is married to the chap. And calling him Paul, well, that was just a nod to the well-informed fans. Of course, it's very likely Mr. Paul Levesque, aka HHH, was one of the writers of the whole event anyway...

One can tell it was staged, not just by obvious clues (i.e., the lever before the collapse, and the strange stage construction), but by a few other things. The timing, for one. All those hours before the show wass on the air, three hours on the air, and it just HAPPENS to go off right when the show's about to end, at the most climactic point? I can understand why Vince would stand there, if it was real- a deer-in-the-headlights sort of thing. But when the medics said, "He's not conscious," and seconds later, Vince wakes up and says he can't feel his legs...

It was very well done, but it was still a worked shoot. It wasn't real. Sorry.

Certain storylines can also be ended due to a kayfabe event. One example of this happening was on the June 23, 2008 edition WWE Raw when Vince McMahon finished giving away $1,000,000 as part of his Million Dollar Mania. After giving away $500,000, the left hand part of the stage collapsed and Vince tumbled to the ground. After he got up, a monitor fell on him, which resulted in all of the Superstars that were in the ring and several people from backstage running in to help him, which made it feel like it was legit. Vince even called Triple H by his real name, Paul

got this from wiki...google storyline (wrestling) and its near the bottem

I was watching and the immediate feeling I got was that something was up. As things looked like they were obviously staged, there seems to be a connection to the fact. Of course no one will believe it was real, because of the prior stunts, and maybe that's part of why it wasn't all over the news? But, if someone or some people needed him dead, they might have set him up to be in the lime light as it happened. If it was a stunt there was a short amount of time to get Vince to stand exactly on the right spot for the steel beams (which were not made of aluminium, because all the wrestlers present couldn't lift it) to narrowly miss him. If it was set up it might have just sent a message that, one, Vince needs people to feel sorry for him. Or, two, there's people out there sending a message that he is not unreachable. Wrestling and reality, which is the truth?

The stunt WAS staged, for two or three reasons.

1.) The McMahon death storyline got cut short due to the whole Benoit thing, so they are trying to get back some of what they lost there.

2.) If you look at WWE.com, you'll see that Million Dollar Mania has been "suspended in light of the events". So this was their way of ending that.

3.) When the company is trying to make things a little more real for the smarks out there, they will sometimes use wrestlers real names to freak out the people that are paying attention.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out, but those are my theories.

I Think Mr.McMahon's Accident On Monday Night Raw Is Real Because I Know That Triple H And John Cena Would Never Run For Mr.McMahon Even Though It Was Staged.

Ok For all those retards out there that said that was real.... you really need to get smacked up side the head. Go back and watch it again... this time look at the lower section of the sign. You see the lever go down then a sec later you see the sign go down. All fake...You would think a company that has that much money would be able to have some writers to come up with something better then that, or even have better equipment to make it look real. Vince needs to go to acting school... "Paul.. I cant feel my legs".....LOL... Dumb *** sign didn't even hit your legs... didn't even come close... and for those who are saying it was the fall... um... no retards he stood up after the "stage fell" and said im "ok".. So like i stated before only retards would think that was real...

"Well im out of here... i hear that astro mechine calling me from the game room."

it was definently staged because out of all the times for the stage to suddenly "collapse" why would it happen the last 5 minutes of the show and its also kinda surprising how if the light and the pyro really did start to go off suddenly theres no way McMahon would just stand there and watch this all happen, i mean seriously he is the chairman of the wwe, theres no way medical staff would ever let anything happen to him. the only thing if that i could possibly think was real was maybe he did possibly hurt his leg which wasn't suppose to but idk. him calling hhh by his name (Paul) was just part of the whole thing just to make people believe it was real. it was all part of the storyline to end his money giveaway. by the way for all you people thinking the draft is real. ha ha no the draft is all planned out before hand. just like everything else in the wwe. although i still find it fun to watch because even though they know what is going to happen i don't so whatever.

Hey, I have no idea if it was real or set up. However, what you have to remember is, yes WWE’s match’s are planned, winners picked in most cases before hand. Nevertheless, having been in a ring as a tech and bellman. Dude hitting the ring is not like hitting a tumbling mat. Anyway when Vince called HHH, Paul it kind of made me think. Here is my Idea. It was set up and something went wrong. It has happened before. Well that is my 2 cents!

U never know what makes me think it is real is that all the superstars rushed over to help unlike when Jericho made Shawn hit his eye he just smirked and walked away but then like Owen heart died they mentioned that it was not a part of the story line and Vince called everybody by there real name like Triple H Vince called him Paul nut hunter Paul is his real name

I think it was all fake until the sign fell I don't think the sign was suppose to fall because if you haven't noticed the wrestlers that were by the ring didn't come over until the sign fell and it might be a storyline I mean just like last year when the limo blew up this year like everyone else is saying he is not dead just injured plus if it was real it would be all over the new and just because he called Triple H Paul that just might have slipped since that is what he is used to call him.

I think it was fake. If you look at the moments before, the base of the sign was built very weakly, like it was suppose to fall and it did. The camera was positioned "perfectly" to see the light fall. Why would they point a camera where Vince was to the right and nothing to the left unless they wanted to show something to happen. Also, if you look at the stage, after it fell...you could tell that it was a planned trap door

i was just thinking the same thing myself and was just about to post this question part of me thinks fake because they wanted to end the million dollar comp but i was quite surprised when i watched it on wwe.com and vice called hhh by his real name paul they did'nt show that bit on raw i dont think well i never saw it and the writers dont like it when they break kayfabe as kahli's interpretor got pulled by stephanie for that at a raw show but i've noticed recently they have started calling batista dave which is his real name so who know's but all in all probably fake knowing the wwe

I think it went the way it was supposed to go... until the sign came down. Too many people broke and ran (not just wrestlers-grips are supposed to be mainly off camera no matter what happens and refs are never supposed to do that sort of thing either) and the medical team was there extrodinarily fast. Either the sign wasn't supposed to come down (somewhat unlikely) or the sign wasn't supposed to come down like it did (more likely).

It was fake. It was a way for Mcmahon to get out of the million dollar give away, and a storyline for somebody to return, such as the undertaker. They used real names to fool those of us who read internet sites such as wrestlezone.com, and know how the business works.
