Yeah, like the way John Cena vs. The Rock was suppose to be a " Once In a Lifetime" match >_>

End Of An Era Mean for Triple H vs The Undertaker at Wrestlemania meant that Triple H and The Undertaker will never face off again in another match. It could also mean that had Triple H won the match it would have been the end of The Undertakers Wrestlemania undefeated streak.

That was more a symbolic headline to the match they had.

"End of an Era" meant a combination of the end of The Undertaker's wars with DX at Wrestlemania (it had been four years straight by that point, an eternity in the WWE) and putting to bed one of the "classic" rivalries from, well, a previous "era". The Undertaker and Triple H are both icons of the 90's and the Attitude Era, so their Wrestlemania 28 match was billed as the final chapter of that "era".

I think End of an Era meant something different, like the last time we see two guys from the Attitude Era competing against each other at a stage like Wrestlemania, in such a huge match up, HHH, HBK, and Undertaker was all involved in that match, we probably won't see those three involved with each other again in a match like that!

I think WWE meant it as something like its the last time the big stars of their era compete against each other. Plus it was in a Hell a Cel which was the big match type of their era. It was also nice for them both to face off like that knowing that they cant do that stuff again. I think if Taker wrestles at Mania this year which i hope he does it will be fine coz it wont be a match as such from his era. I think thats been a problem over the last 5 years all of Takers Mania opponents have been legends or hall of famers. He needs to do what he did back in the day face a new breed of talent and give them that feeling that they are that good to face taker at a Mania. The last non legend to face him was Edge (even though he's a legend now).

I think when WWE said it was an end of an era it is showing that the Feud between Triple H and The Undertaker is coming to an end.

Was a marketing caption given to the match. If i remember, it was first mentioned by HHH during a promo where he said that the taker and he were the last remaining guys from the old era. And the match was going to be so brutal and punishing that one of them would probably never wrestle again. Either way it would be the end of an era.

Apart from being the caption of all promos for that match, it was just a phrase meant to highlight the severity and impact of that match.

End of an era means that it was gonna be the last match of 2 high caliber superstars from the attitude era. Doesn't mean neither of them were gonna wrestle again. Just means that they're last match together was the last chapter of that era in wwe.

'the Era" in question was about it being the Last 1 on 1 match in WWE between 2 pre-attitude guys... if you view HHH as a Proxy for HBK (and HBK's role as Referee) you can also extrapolate it to be the Last stand of teh Pre-Raw era as well as Taker and HBK are/were the last active guys to have been on the main roster when Raw Debuted (and to appear on Raw #1)

It was never intended to be a retirement Match for anyone, or they'd have clearly Put that stipulation in there (and Hyped the hell out of it) like they did for HBK's and Flair's last Mania/WWE Matches

Just like WWE was very careful to choose their words for the promotion of Rock's participation during Survivor Series 2011, and Mania 2012 ie "Once in a Lifetime" to describe Cena/Rock Tag team at Survivor Series.. it doesn't take much to avoid ever putting them on the same side of 2-2 tag match in general, and if they had to for one reason or another the timing of it being at Survivor Series again isn't likely to fit any future stories either.. thus Cena. Rock. tag team. Survivor Series. was a one time thing.

I think the era meant as the end of thier rivalry. Undertaker will fight someone at this WM and Triple H will burry someone this wrestlemania too.

Well you better hold onto your socks because Ric Flair is returning to WWE too. He would have wrestled last month in Japan but had to pull out because because of a bloodclot picked up on the flight over to Tokyo.

With most wrestler's I have learned that you should NEVER say never.

But they havent announced Undertaker vs Triple HHH? What point are you trying to make?
2013-02-25 02:27:53 UTC
Lol just like twice in the lifetime.
2013-02-25 02:24:39 UTC
WWE is confusing. I guess one in a lifetime will now be twice in a lifetime.
