Question:
Looking at tonight and the weeks ahead . . . WWE Raw?

Tonight was the biggest night in Pro Wrestling for a while. We all watched Raw and/or Monday Night Impact and you could say that if this is the beginning of Monday Night Wars II then TNA has won the first battle.

I have three words to say: Raw f'ed up.

Having Bret Hart as guest host should of been the start of a fued, which it did at the end with Vince booting him in the 'nads. But this is what everybody expected, either Vince or HBK turning heel and attacking him. But WWE also had some great oppurtunitys to turn this thing on its head.

The first oppurtunity WWE had was when DX faced The Hart Dynasty last week on Smackdown. WWE could have used this to their advantage, maybe turning Bret heel and aligning him with the Hart Dynasty. The Hart Dynasty w/ Bret Hart could then maybe fued with DX, or Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels II. With Mike Tyson guest-hosting next week, this would open up alot of doors for WWE Creative to get creative (remember Stone Cold vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania w/ Tyson as Special Enforcer).

this is just one thing that WWE could have used, but nevertheless it will be interesting to see in the coming weeks what Raw and Impact will do to keep the fans glued to their shows.

Your thoughts.

I disagree. At this point, I really don't think Bret would like to turn heel. He is a retired wrestler who is respected by many around the world and often looked at as a hero to many adults who were children back when Bret was in his prime. I don't think he wants to wrap up his wrestling career as a hated villain nor do I think anyone could possibly boo him anymore.

Before RAW ended they needed to make a reason for Bret to return in the near future. This left the door open for the Hitman to come back for revenge and IMO they did a good job.

Perhaps people such as yourself are too young to understand. If this were in the Attitude era nobody would be nitpicking. They would take the angle for what it's worth and highly anticipate how the other person will strike back the next week.

Like the old days.... rather than bitching about it, just wait and find out where this is all going.

People need to take Brets physical condition into account. You are not gonna see him in any high profile matches like years ago.

Bret had several major concussions towards the end of his career which forced him into retirement, then after retiring he suffered a stroke. Then take into account the fact that hes 52 now. Hes just not in any shape to pull off any major matches.

At the most he might end up in some sort of tag match-maybe a 6 man tag match where the others can carry him through the show. But some sort of one on one rematch between Michaels and Hart? Its not gonna happen.
