Sadly, no. I really want to say yes, but I just cannot see it happening. WWE would have to offer CM Punk an absolute huge deal and it would have to suite him 100%. I think there are just too many opinions on both sides, too much bad history. The timing and settings would have to be absolutely perfect. I feel like we have had moments in recent years where a CM Punk return was almost set up and it would have just been perfect, but it never happened.

In addition, due to the current global pandemic, this makes it so much more unlikely that WWE will offer any huge deals and contracts to big names. Guys like Goldberg and Brock Lesnar had short term massive deals and I just don't think we will see things like this for a long time.

Nope.

Also, to those saying 'he did return to WWE for Backstage', no he didn't.  He was a paid employee of the Fox network, not WWE, similar to how athletes who appear on ESPN to talk shop aren't being paid by the NFL/NBA/NHL/etc.  They're being paid by ESPN.

There are still be feelings on both sides and a lot of discussion and agreement would have to take place between CM Punk and WWE before WWE would offer CM Punk a new Contract. Considering what is going on in The World with The Global Pandemic and all the releases of Wrestlers, Referees, Road Agents, Trainers and other WWE Personnel from Raw, Smackdown, NXT, NXT UK it's hard to see WWE spending a lot of money on any more Professional Wrestlers until WWE can actually do more Shows. At this point they have 1 Raw + 1 NXT + Smackdown every week when they are used to running 9 WWE Live Shows + those 3 Televised Shows.

He already returned back to WWE, but only for backstage, I doubt he will return back into a WWE ring as a wrestler.

After the way Vince ands Co treated him? At the time he was 'forced' out his public rants and opened the book on WWE - Behind the scenes (not literally a book) Punk was in my opinion forced out because Vince didnt/doesnt like criticism. If you remember CMs final few weeks with WWE his match with Cena coming up, Punk stated He would win and take the WWE belt with him which didnt go well at all. What Punk stated then got him pushed out yet Lesner and his microp[hone Heyman were allowed to make public statements similar to what Punk had stated yet suffered nothing like Lesner. Punks highest wage was 1.7mill his final year at WWE and his backside kicked unmercilessly to the kerb. To return 10 plus years later in my opinion wouldn't be his best idea and alongside his public outrage at Vince and co would make him look hypocritical for those of us ans who remember Punks final times at WWE the words he spoke the shame he brought down on Vince my thoughts if he did return would be Why put yourself back in the lions den.

I doubt it.  He's not worth putting up with all the drama he brings.
