Maven co-won the first Tough Enough contest and is famously remembered for eliminating the Undertaker in the Royal Rumble of 2002 but while he obviously had great in-ring skills such as his dropkicks, WWE never gave him a real gimmick that would make him unique as well as more championships beside winning the Hardcore Championship three time via the 24/7 rules. His big push came when he upset pre-big star Batista whom he challenged and helped Jericho, Benoit and, mainly, Orton take down Evolution. After his team won against Triple H's at Survivor Series, Maven was the first to be RAW GM for the night and challenged HHH for the World Heavyweight Championship. Despite interference from Jericho and Benoit, he lost the match. Afterward, he became a heel by attacking Eugene for eliminating him from a Battle Royal and feuded with him but it never caught on as he challenged Shelton Benjamin for the latter's Intercontinental Title but he lost... twice after 1) he spent the entire time ripping on the crowd in which he was pinned after he was done and 2) he demand the match to restart which was granted until he was pinned again. His last roles before being let go by the WWE were both forming a tag team with Simon Dean and being part of the Anti-ECW Crusaders led by Eric Bischoff and both didn't go well for Maven.
